Joint activities

 

Medical Delta believes that engineers, medical professionals and entrepreneurs together are able to find more effective, safe and efficient solutions to treat patients.
In order to find and understand each other better the Medical Delta organizes activities and provides platforms that facilitate effective and directed communication among the stakeholders, such as:

  • The Business 2 Science Portal where SMEs can find the medical scientists and engineers for R&D questions via a personal approach
  • The Medical Delta Cafés where engineers, medical professionals and business people exchange innovation views, business experiences and find new relations for innovation opportunities at a personal level
  • The Roadshows where hundreds of scientists from the Medical Delta knowledge institutes meet, exchange ideas and demonstrate their infrastructure to each other.
  • The Medical Delta  enables members to direct each other to interesting opportunities. Currently the group consists out of more than 250 members originating from all relevant stakeholders.
  • A number of joint education programs exists between Delft, Leiden and Rotterdam that train the students to function within interdisciplinairy environments in health and life science or industry and also stimulates long term cooperation among the teaching professors.

After a successful match has been made, Medical Delta also aims to seek routes collaboratively towards R&D financial means and state-of-the-art R&D facilities that public-private partnerships can utilize to fulfill their joint ambitions.
