Open Day | Dutch Bio Science Week

The Leiden Bio Science Park invites you to an Open Day where the doors of innovation open to the public. This event promises a day of discovery and learning, suitable for all ages from 4 to 104. Discover what goes on in the secret laboratories and buildings through guided lab tours, hands-on workshops and enlightening lectures.

Center for Human Drug Research
What do they actually do at CHDR? The Center for Human Drug Research tests new and existing drugs in humans. They also develop new measurement methods to investigate the effects of drugs. Because of course you want to know if the medicine you get actually works!

Biotech Training Facility
The Biotech Training Facility in Leiden offers state-of-the-art education and training in biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing. With hands-on practical experiences and specialized courses, the facility helps professionals and students develop skills critical to the growing biotechnology industry.

LUMC Anatomy Museum
Did you know that Leiden has an Anatomical Museum? This small museum is part of the LUMC and is actually only used for medical and biomedical education. Especially for the Open Day, the Anatomical Museum is now open to the public! Take a unique look behind the scenes!

Faculty of Archaeology
At the Faculty of Archaeology, they study the development of human societies worldwide. From the very beginning of the world to now, modern times. Students can gain in-depth knowledge and practical experience here. During the Open Day on Saturday, June 29, there will be a market with activities around bones. The faculty can be visited until 12:30 pm. Will you join us?

Come play darts soccer at CORPUS ‘journey through man’! Will you hit the bull’s eye? Challenge yourself, your friends and family by taking part in a game of dart soccer.
