European Health Forum Gastein 2020 Hackathon

The European Health Forum Gastein is pleased to announce the third annual EHFG Hackaton, jointly organised with their partner EIT Health, will take place digitally from 25-27 September 2020 within the framework of the EHFG 2020 conference.

THEME

This year the EHFG will broadly seek to explore innovatie and implementable digital solutions to support continuity of care during times of crisis. The specific challenge will be announced in early September once all teams have been formed.

LOCATION

The EHFG Hackaton will take place exclusively online and within the framework of the EHFG digital conference. Teams will work together using tools such as HackerEarth, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Discord – detailed technical instructions and access to individual tools will be provided too participants in advance of the event.

DURATION

The hackaton will take place form 25-27 September 2020. Teams will have 40-hours to build a solution before pitching their ideas in front of our expert jury. Three finalist teams will go forward and present their solutions to audience members during the Closing Plenary of the EHFG digital conference on 2 October 2020.

THE AWARD

Two prizes, a jury prize and an audience prize, amounting to €25.000 will be awarded to the hackaton winners.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

• Citizenship of one of the countries of the WHO European Region
• Proficiency in English
