Medical Delta started in 2006 in collaboration with the universities (TU Delft, University Leiden and the Erasmus University Rotterdam) and the two academic medical centers (LUMC and Erasmus MC) in the province Zuid-Holland. In 2018, the four Universities of Applied Sciences (The Hague, InHolland, Rotterdam and Leiden) also joined this collaboration.
