On Thursday, October 10, the free Innovation Café by Zorg voor innoveren and Zorginnovatie.nl will take place! This time, the innovation café will focus on the theme ‘AI in healthcare.’ Will you join us? Sign up quickly for our innovation café and get inspired by practical examples and lessons learned about AI in healthcare.
The rise of generative AI has enormous potential, for example, in reducing administrative burdens in healthcare. However, many challenges arise, such as ethical aspects, legislation, and implementation in daily practice. During this event, we will explore how AI technologies can transform the healthcare sector by optimizing processes, improving the quality of care, and enabling personalized treatments. We will examine both the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating AI into medical practices and provide insights into how these innovations can contribute to more efficient and patient-centered healthcare delivery.
Robin van Stokkum (TNO) on the potential of AI in healthcare
Robin van Stokkum is a Digital Health Researcher at TNO and one of the authors of the report 'Generative AI in Dutch Healthcare.' Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence capable of creating new content. The recently published report was prepared by TNO on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport to explore the potential of generative artificial intelligence within healthcare. In his presentation, Robin discusses the findings and provides an overview of the opportunities, challenges, and risks associated with the use of (generative) AI in healthcare.
Thomas Kluiters (Juvoly) on QuickConsult, speech model AI
With Juvoly's QuickConsult, conversations between a general practitioner and a patient are monitored. Afterward, the conversation is automatically summarized into a structured report using generative AI, significantly reducing the administrative burden for general practitioners. Thomas Kluiters, co-founder and software engineer at the startup Juvoly, will share their own experiences with AI in healthcare during the Innovation Café. He will discuss their own AI model used at Juvoly, how they train their speech models, and the pitfalls they encounter in using AI in healthcare.
Ildikó Vajda (Patients Federation of the Netherlands) on patient and citizen interests around AI in healthcare
Ildikó Vajda works as a Senior Advisor for Digital Healthcare at the Dutch Patients' Federation. In addition to her experience in the world of patient organizations, Ildikó has also gained significant experience in various research projects related to AI and programming. She is also active in the Health and Care working group of the Dutch AI Coalition. During her presentation, she will address the interests of citizens and patients concerning AI in healthcare. How do they view all the developments in this area, and are their interests being taken into account? How can we ensure that citizens and patients have and maintain control over their own care and health?
Moderator Suzanne Verheijden (Buro StrakZ) warmly welcomes you and will take you into the world of AI in healthcare. You will hear inspiring stories from the speakers, after which it will be time for discussion. The speakers will then take the time to answer all your pressing questions. From 5:00 PM, the networking reception will be festively opened, giving you the opportunity to meet other healthcare innovators, professionals, and reformers.
