Bartholomeus Gasthuis, Lange Smeestraat 403511 PZ Utrecht

14.30 - 18.00

On Wednesday, April 2, Zorg voor Innoveren and Zorginnovatie.nl are hosting a free Innovation Café!

This time, the café will focus on labor-saving innovations in healthcare. Will you be there? Sign up quickly and get inspired by practical examples and valuable lessons about innovations that ease the workload in healthcare.

What does the theme 'labor-saving innovation in healthcare' entail?

In the healthcare sector, professionals face the daily challenge of maintaining the quality of care while dealing with increasing workloads and staff shortages. Fortunately, more and more labor-saving innovations are offering ways to alleviate this pressure. For example, think of smart technologies that take over administrative tasks or tools that speed up and streamline healthcare processes, allowing healthcare workers to focus on what really matters.

From artificial intelligence (AI) to digital platforms that improve communication between healthcare teams – the possibilities are abundant. However, integrating these innovations requires not only new technology but also a shift in mindset within healthcare institutions. It requires collaboration between healthcare professionals, technicians, and policymakers to implement technology in a way that both improves care quality and reduces the workload.

Where and when will the Innovation Café take place?

Date: Wednesday afternoon, April 2, 2025

Who are the speakers?

  • Jan-Willem Heeg (Tinybots) on Care Robot Tessa
Tinybots creates a digital care assistant for people with cognitive impairments. Tessa helps them regain autonomy, become more independent, and live at home longer. This reduces their dependence on professional care. Jan-Willem Heeg, partner at Tinybots, has been part of the entire journey – from initial proof to proven technology and from first demo to regional scaling. During the Innovation Café, he will share valuable insights and discuss the future of healthcare technology.

  • Mandy Schreuder (ViVa Zorggroep) and Peter Hendrikx (Omring) on the Use of Care Technology in Healthcare Organizations
In North Holland, VVT organizations De Zorgcirkel, Evean, Omring, and ViVa! Zorggroep are working together regionally in the project Toolkit Care Technology. The goal of this collaboration is to implement care technology in a way that is suitable and successful for their clients. Mandy Schreuder, project leader of the ViVa! Zorggroep Innovation Lab, and Peter Hendrikx, iNurse at Omring, will share their lessons, opportunities, and pitfalls. They will also discuss what it takes for a healthcare organization to successfully implement care technology.

  • Matthijs Klok & Simone Heilijgers (Vilans) on Stimulating Behavioral Change
Matthijs Klok and Simone Heilijgers from Vilans will share their expertise on stimulating behavioral change to promote the implementation of care technology. They will discuss their experiences with the Innovation Impulse 2 program and the new InnovationRoute, an interactive tool that supports project leaders and innovation managers in successfully implementing and scaling up care technology in disability care. By providing practical insights and tools, they aim to contribute to the effective use of technology in healthcare.
