The eight Medical Delta Living Labs that launched in 2024 are now fully up and running and continue to evolve steadily: innovation projects are gaining momentum, while education and research activities are also flourishing. This makes it the ideal time to forge new connections within the network and to engage practice partners more actively.
“Living labs bridge the gap between development and real-world practice, making them a valuable link in the innovation chain,” said Sanne de Vries, Chair of Medical Delta and herself involved in one of the labs, during the opening of the Medical Delta Living Labs & Partners Meeting on 16 June. Moderator and senior innovation manager Marijke Will-Janssen invited the coordinators to openly share a brief update on the status of “their” lab, their expectations, and any questions they wished to put to the audience.
This took place during a well-attended meeting that also brought together current and prospective practice partners, consortium members, and representatives from societal organizations.
Exploring solutions
“What is your biggest innovation or implementation challenge?” That single question was all it took to spark lively discussions among the participants. Working in groups of four, attendees identified shared challenges and explored potential solutions. They then joined larger groups to discuss how they could support one another, for example by sharing expertise and leveraging contacts within the network. The diverse ideas and insights generated during these sessions were subsequently shared with the entire audience.
Following this exchange of experiences, knowledge, and new connections, the meeting concluded with a healthy lunch.
