Monday, September 13, 2021

Prof. Dr. Andrew Webb, Professor of the Physics of MRI at the LUMC and Medical Delta Professor, has received an NWO TTW Open Technology grant of € 883,000 to enhance the role that MRI plays in secondary and tertiary healthcare.

The aim of the project, entitled 'New hardware and imaging/spectroscopic technologies for improved low-field magnetic resonance', is to enable MRI scanners to play a much greater part in secondary and tertiary healthcare by reducing costs and increasing accessibility. Within this project, Webb is working together with Itamar Ronen, Berit Verbist and Monique Reijnierse, clinicians in radiology at LUMC.

More information on this project can be found on the websites of LUMC (in Dutch) and NWO.
