The program for the Gezond Verstand Festival by the Province of Zuid-Holland has been announced. Expect an afternoon full of inspiration, provocative statements, creative breakout sessions, and a market where residents, creators, and innovators showcase how they contribute to building a Healthy Zuid-Holland.
Medical Delta is a co-organizer of the festival. Several Medical Delta researchers are involved, including in one of the nine breakout sessions.
The Gezond Verstand Festival will take place on the afternoon of Thursday, November 13, at New Babylon in The Hague.
The Gezond Verstand Festival also marks the launch of the Delta Action Agenda. The Delta Action Agenda is the follow-up to what began at the working conference of Medical Delta, Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities, and ZHIA in April. Over the past few months, societal, governmental, scientific, and healthcare organizations have provided further input to develop a concrete action plan for a healthier Zuid-Holland.
At the Gezond Verstand Festival, we celebrate what works, explore how we can scale up together, and take steps to make the healthy choice the easiest choice. From a healthy living environment to food and vital residents, we make a difference together. The Delta Action Agenda gives this effort extra momentum. It is a joint roadmap that brings together all knowledge, expertise, and energy in Zuid-Holland to implement proven health solutions more quickly and broadly.
The Gezond Verstand Festival features a varied program with breakout sessions focused on three main themes: Healthy Food Environment, Vital and Resilient Residents, and Healthy Living Environment. At the healthy market, inspiring initiatives can be seen and experienced, and there are plenty of networking opportunities.
Three finalists of the regional Zorginnovatieprijs will pitch their innovative healthcare solutions to the audience and a professional jury. Later in the afternoon, it will be announced who will represent Zuid-Holland in the National Healthcare Innovation Award.
