Wednesday, February 14, 2024

A 'Sustainable Healthcare Challenge' marked the kickoff for TU Delft's 'Health Month.' After a brief series of keynotes, five teams developed concrete ideas to make healthcare more sustainable. Two teams were declared winners, receiving follow-up funding to further develop their plans.

During short keynotes, speakers including Prof. Dr. Frank Willem Jansen (Chair of Medical Delta and the National Network The Green OR) and Dr. Ir. Anne van der Eijk (LUMC) outlined the challenges of greening the operating room. Medical Delta Professor Jan Carel Diehl served as moderator, providing clear instructions to the participating teams.

This resulted in five elaborated ideas, from which the jury selected two. Each team will receive €5,000 in research funding to further develop their proposals.
