Young Medical Delta Thesis Awards 2026 focused on young talent and innovative research

Thursday, March 19, 2026

The annual presentation of the Young Medical Delta Thesis Awards was once again an evening entirely dedicated to young talent and innovative research in healthcare, innovation, and technology.

The evening was opened by Marie Hoek, chair of Young Medical Delta. The nominees in each category (Bachelor, Master, and PhD) presented their research, taking the audience through their insights and findings.

The presentations demonstrated the range and interdisciplinary nature of the field of health and innovation. The inspiring evening highlighted what Young Medical Delta stands for: connecting young talent with science, healthcare practice, and technology, and encouraging collaboration. We look back with pride on an inspiring evening and thank all nominees, jury members, and attendees for their contribution to this special event.

Each presentation concluded with in-depth questions from the jury, consisting of Medical Delta professor prof. dr. ir. Wouter Serdijn (TU Delft & Erasmus MC), dr. Luc de Witte (leading lector at the Centre of Expertise Health Innovation at The Hague University of Applied Sciences), and Medical Delta professor prof. dr. Natasja de Groot (Erasmus MC, TU Delft).

After careful deliberation, the jury selected the following winners in each category:
