First newsletter of Healthy Society released

This week, the Dutch newspaper Nederlands Dagblad published an article about the greening of healthcare, following the "Green Week" of the physicians' federation KNMG. KNMG aims to raise awareness of the high greenhouse gas emissions and waste generated by healthcare.

PhD candidate wants to gain knowledge on familial cardiac arrhythmias at Harvard

PhD candidate Leonoor Wijdeveld is raising funds for a six-month work visit to Harvard University. The acquired knowledge will benefit research into familial atrial fibrillation, for which a clinic recently opened at Erasmus MC.

Andrew Webb elected as a member of the KNAW

Medical Delta professor Andrew Webb is one of the eighteen new members of the KNAW. The approximately 600 members of the KNAW are prominent scientists from all disciplines. Membership is for life. The new Academy members will be installed on Monday, October 30th.
